* Fellowships: Self-supporting doctoral students are eligible for partial tuition fellowships if they entered the doctoral program in spring 1995 or earlier, have six semesters registered in the Graduate School and have passed the A-Exam. * English test: The English Placement Test will be Monday, Aug. 24, at 9:30 a.m. in Hollis E. Cornell Auditorium, Goldwin Smith Hall. Entering international students who satisfied the language requirement with a TOEFL score below 600 must take this examination.
* Fall '98 registration: Registration is in the Field House, Monday, Aug. 24, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. for new students and 1-5 p.m. for continuing students with "holds." All new students and continuing students with "holds" must register in person. Continuing students with no "holds" do not need to go to the Field House. Students should check "Just the Facts" after Aug. 17 to determine if they have a "hold."
* Course enrollment: Course enrollment forms are available at graduate field offices and the Graduate School, 150 Caldwell Hall. Course enrollment dates: Aug. 25-Sept.18. Return completed form in person to the Graduate School. Students who completed electronic precourse enrollment last spring do not complete a course enrollment form; if there is a change in their schedule, they complete a Course Drop and Add form.
