Flu shot clinics: In time for the season, flu shots -- recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and the American College Health Association -- are now available from Gannett Health Services. The cost of the influenza vaccine per person is $10. Flu shots and other vaccinations are available at Gannett by appointment, Monday through Friday (call 255-5155), and are available at vaccine clinics, first come, first served. Be prepared to pay with exact change, check or by bursar account. This week's vaccine clinic schedule is listed in the Chronicle calendar under the Miscellany heading. The American College Health Association also recommends that college students consider vaccination to prevent meningococcal disease ($68) and hepatitis B ($37-$60 per shot; three-shot series). These vaccines are available at Gannett and at the vaccination clinics. For more information about recommended vaccinations, check the web site at: http://www.uhs.cornell.edu/othervaccs.html or for more information, contact Gannett at 255-5155.
