Faculty Tenure Actions

The following tenure actions were approved by the Cornell Board of Trustees at its October meeting. These actions became effective Nov. 1.

Tomás A. Arias, associate professor, Department of Physics, College of Arts and Sciences, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

N'Dri Thérèse Assié-Lumumba, assistant professor, Africana Studies and Research Center, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Christopher B. Barrett, associate professor, Department of Agricultural, Resource and Managerial Economics, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

J.S. Butler, professor, Department of Policy Analysis and Management, College of Human Ecology, was elected professor with indefinite tenure.

Kathryn L. Gleason, assistant professor, Department of Landscape Architecture, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Sanjiv (Ravi) Kanbur, professor, Department of Agricultural, Resource and Managerial Economics, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, was elected professor with indefinite tenure.

Michael E. Lynch, professor, Department of Science and Technology Studies, College of Arts and Sciences, was elected professor with indefinite tenure.

Susan R. McCouch, assistant professor, Department of Plant Breeding, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

J. Ritchie Patterson, assistant professor, Department of Physics, College of Arts and Sciences, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Gregory L. Poe, assistant professor, Department of Agricultural, Resource and Managerial Economics, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Yasuhiro Shirai, assistant professor, Department of Asian Studies, College of Arts and Sciences, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Anna Marie Smith, assistant professor, Department of Government, College of Arts and Sciences, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Rory J. Todhunter, assistant professor, Department of Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Sunn Shelley Wong, assistant professor, Department of English, College of Arts and Sciences, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.
