Peace Studies prize: Applications are available for the 14th Annual Harrop and Ruth Freeman Prize in Peace Studies. The prize, which encourages Cornell undergraduates to pursue work or study in fields related to peace studies and conflict resolution, is valued at $1,400 for 1999. Preference is given to students who plan to work in peace-related organizations, but students who are going on to graduate work in the field also are eligible for consideration.
