Dedication and citation

The chief hydrologist of the United States Geological Survey, Robert Hirsch, left, presents Walter R. Lynn a plaque with a citation for the emeritus professor of civil and environmental engineering. Lynn, the former dean of the faculty and now the university ombudsman, was honored Feb. 11 at the dedication of the new USGS subdistrict headquarters. The building, at 30 Brown Road in the Cornell Business and Technology Park, signals a new era of collaborative research between the USGS and the Cornell Center for the Environment, officials said.
