Visiting a fifth-grade class at Dryden Elementary School recently, Cornell Plantations educator Raylene Ludgate helps Shana Marshall,12, and Jeremy Coon,10, conduct an experiment with a corn-based product called Eco-peanuts. Students in grades K-5 at the school are learning more about "Corn: The A-Maize-ing Grain" this year through Judy's Day in the School, a science-education program of Cornell Plantations. The series is named for the late Judy Abrams, a long-time volunteer at Plantations and at other community organizations. Robert Barker/University Photography
