Cornell President Emeritus Frank H.T. Rhodes, right, is presented with the Salvation Army's top civilian honor, the Others award, by Maj. Robert Reel at the corps' annual civic dinner in Ithaca May 17. One award is given yearly in each community served by the Salvation Army nationwide to individuals "who have exemplified the true spirit of giving to the needs of the desperate and destitute of the community through the Salvation Army."
