As part of the College of Human Ecology Prefreshmen Summer Program, incoming freshmen learn about the resources in the college's Office of Admissions, Students and Career Services from its associate director, Verdene Lee, left. The six-week program gives minority students admitted to Cornell under the Higher Education Opportunity Program or Educational Opportunity Program an opportunity to get acquainted with Cornell before their freshmen year begins. The new students include, from left, seated in the foreground, Sabine Dorleans from Brooklyn; Thea Stewart from Newfield; and Rabiatu Adamu from Staten Island.
