Candidate pays a visit

H. Carl McCall, New York State comptroller and candidate for governor, makes a campaign stop on campus Oct. 23 in Kaufmann Auditorium of Goldwin Smith Hall, as a guest of the Cornell Democrats and Students for McCall. About 65 people attended the event, during which the candidate spoke about the need to preserve freedoms at home in the wake of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, state budget issues, education funding and student involvement in politics.
