Notices should be sent to arrive 10 days prior to publication and should include the name and telephone number of a person who can be called if there are questions.

Notices should also include the subheading of the calendar in which the item should appear.

Johnson Museum of Art
The Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art, on the corner of University and Central avenues, is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. Telephone: 255-6464.
* "A Sense of Place: Traditions of Landscape Photography," through Aug. 23.
* "The Lenore and Burton Gold Collection of 20th Century Art," through Aug. 26.
* "All the World's a Page," through Sept. 23.
* Art for Lunch: On June 28 at noon, take a look at the maps and images of exotic lands and peoples in "All the World's a Page," led by graduate print room assistant Diane Butler.
* A free, public opening reception for new exhibitions is June 30 from 5 to 7 p.m.
* Articipation: On July 7 from 1 to 4 p.m., enjoy an afternoon exploring landscapes (in maps, quilts and photographs) and then create your own. Free and open to the public.
* Artbreak; On July 8 at 3 p.m., John W. Reps will give a presentation, "Views of Urban America: An Interview with H. Peter Kahn." Reps will play an audio tape of an interview with Kahn and show corresponding slide images.

"The Pay It Forward Movement," Catherine Ryan Hyde, novelist and award-winning short story writer, July 11, 7:30 p.m., David I. Call Alumni Auditorium, Kennedy Hall. Hyde is the author of Pay It Forward, the novel on which the movie of the same name is based. Prior to the lecture, the film will be screened at 5 p.m.

Summer Sessions
Classical concerts
Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m., Kiplinger Theatre of the Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts. Free tickets (four per person) are required for all classical concerts and are available beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Kiplinger Theatre on the day of each performance.
* July 3: Kia-Hui Tan, violin professor, will pair J.S. Bach's Partita in E Major with Eugëne Ysaÿe's Sonata No. 2, a parody of Bach.
* July 10: NYS Baroque "Musick for Theatre and Chamber." Members of New York state's orchestra on original instruments, will demonstrate historic connections between music and theatre.

* June 29: Cri Du Bayou brings its high energy, traditional dance music of Southwest Louisiana to campus.

* Cornell Plantations offers free interpretive tours of the botanical gardens Saturdays, June 23-Sept. 8, at 11 a.m.; meet outside the Garden Gift Shop.
* Workshop titled "Cosmetics From the Herb Garden," June 30, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Andrea Reisen of Healing Spirits Farm will teach how to utilize herbs to make facial cremes and massage oils. A fee of $20 for members/students and $35 for nonmembers.
