Faculty tenure elections approved by trustees

The following tenure actions were approved by the board of trustees in October:

Anthony Vidler, chair of the Department of Art History and professor of art history and architecture with tenure at the University of California, Los Angeles, was elected dean of the College of Architecture, Art and Planning for a five-year term and professor with indefinite tenure, Department of Architecture; both actions are effective Jan. 1, 1997.

Dorothy M. Ainsworth, assistant professor, Department of Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Joel A.C. Baum, associate professor with indefinite tenure, University of Toronto, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure, S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management, effective Jan. 1, 1997.

Ronald Booker, assistant professor, Section of Neurobiology and Behavior, Division of Biological Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

John A. Bunge, assistant professor, School of Industrial and Labor Relations, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Yung-Fu Chang, assistant professor, Diagnostic Laboratory, College of Veterinary Medicine, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Selina Chen-Kiang, assistant professor, Department of Pathology, Cornell University Medical College, was elected professor with indefinite tenure.

Gary A. Churchill, assistant professor, Department of Plant Breeding and Biometry, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Barbara Correll, assistant professor, Department of English, College of Arts and Sciences, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Peter F. Daels, assistant professor, Department of Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Jane Fajans, assistant professor, Department of Anthropology, College of Arts and Sciences, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Jeffrey Haugaard, assistant professor, Department of Human Development and Family Studies, College of Human Ecology, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Yu-Hwa Lo, assistant professor, School of Electrical Engineering, College of Engineering, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Melissa A. Luckow, assistant professor, L.H. Bailey Hortorium, Division of Biological Sciences, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

William A. Muller, adjunct associate professor, Department of Pathology, Cornell University Medical College, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Judith Reppy, associate professor, Department of Science and Technology Studies, College of Arts and Sciences, was elected professor with indefinite tenure.

William J. Sonnenstuhl, assistant professor, School of Industrial and Labor Relations, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Glen H. Swindle, associate professor, School of Operations Research and Industrial Engineering, College of Engineering, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Draga Zec, assistant professor, Department of Linguistics, College of Arts and Sciences, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.
