Maher, a popular comedian and satirist, is the host of the irreverent political talk show on cable TV's Comedy Central, "Politically Incorrect."

According to a recent article in The New York Times, "With the comedian Bill Maher as host, 'Politically Incorrect' deftly mixes guests from the world of politics and show biz, and keeps them on track as they discuss everything from gun control to the nature of celebrity."

"Politically Incorrect," which airs weeknights at 11 p.m., has been so successful that it has been snapped up by ABC and will follow the news talk show "Nightline" next year.
