To the Editor:
I would like to thank everyone on campus and in Ithaca for their assistance during our stay in Ithaca.
My son, Michael, a sophomore at Cornell, was hospitalized and had life-threatening emergency surgery at Cayuga Medical Center on Nov. 19. We did not plan on spending Thanksgiving in Ithaca but we did.
To Linda Klena, Dr. Corson-Rickert, all the nurses and the doctors at Gannett and foremost Dr. Plez Tinsley of Northeast Ear, Nose & Throat: thank you is not enough.
I will be forever grateful for your caring and expertise!
To professors Bartsch, Ruina, Kline, Di Salva, Wagner and Ms. Lisa Ryan and Joan Fisher: thank you for taking the time to listen to and support us.
To Mike's friends a big thanks.
We are back home now on Cape Cod and Mike is getting stronger every day. He's preparing to return for the spring semester.
Thanks for taking care of us at Thanksgiving time and have a very Merry Christmas.
You gave me an early Christmas present, my wonderful son!
Sincerely,
Eileen Kandianis
