Huge trophy for a big win

Members of the Cornell Forensics Society pose with a 12-foot-tall trophy they won for their victory in the 30th annual Bloomsberg University tournament, Nov. 6 and 7. Twenty-seven colleges took part in the debate and planned-speech events during the tournament, which also featured a contest for best dramatic reading of a literary passage. Competing almost weekly, the Cornell team has only one loss this year. With the trophy in Kennedy Hall are, from left, kneeling: sophomore Steve Zammit, economics/government, and senior Jessica Wojtysiak, engineering/chemistry; and standing: junior Alyssa Paladino, hotel administration; senior and student director Rex Miller, engineering; and director Pamela Stepp, assistant professor of communication.
