The following tenure actions were approved by the Cornell Board of Trustees at its fall meeting in Ithaca. These actions became effective Nov. 1, unless noted.
Paula H. Horrigan, assistant professor, Department of Landscape Architecture, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.
James P. Shapleigh, assistant professor, Section of Microbiology, Division of Biological Sciences, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.
Barbara J. Strupp, associate professor, Division of Nutritional Sciences, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.
Eberhard Bodenschatz, assistant professor, Department of Physics, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.
Donald B. Campbell, professor, Department of Astronomy, was elected professor with indefinite tenure.
Stephen Coate, professor, Department of Economics, was elected professor with indefinite tenure.
Maria Cristina Garcia, associate professor with indefinite tenure, Texas A&M University, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure, Department of History, effective Jan. 1, 1999.
Harry W. Greene, professor with indefinite tenure, University of California, Berkeley, was elected professor with indefinite tenure, Section of Ecology and Systematics, Division of Biological Sciences, effective Jan. 1, 1999.
