Memorial

A memorial gathering for family, friends, colleagues and students of Professor Barbara Hope Cooper will be held Sunday, Sept. 12, at 1:30 p.m. in Sage Chapel, followed by a reception on the seventh floor of Clark Hall. Cooper, the first woman appointed a professor of physics at Cornell, died Aug. 7 at Cayuga Medical Center of lung cancer at age 45. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Barbara Hope Cooper Memorial Fund, c/o the Department of Physics at Cornell.
