In-the-box waste management

The 3Rs (reduce, reuse and recycle) Center for Waste Prevention is a prototype waste-management program run by Cornell Cooperative Extension in New York City and the Cornell Waste Management Institute, and it is funded in part by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The program's goal is to help city residents learn how to reduce their waste. On Aug. 19, the program held a summer fair at the Forest Houses apartment complex in the Bronx.
