Cornell History: That's Kosher
August 30, 2001
Kosher food becomes widely available across campus, as Campus Life contracts a New York City-based corporation to run a multicultural kosher meal plan. For 13 years prior, student volunteers had ensured proper preparation and serving of kosher food. The meal plan, aimed at meeting the needs of Jewish, Muslim and vegetarian students, was part of a program to enhance Jewish students’ spiritual and cultural development, education and social activities.
