“It’s been called a great digital-age experiment in applying and building the wisdom of the hive. You probably use Wikipedia often. But have you ever thought of making it better?”

That’s an invitation to members of the Cornell community to help improve Wikipedia content on topics in agriculture and the life sciences at a communal edit-a-thon event, Friday, March 11, from 1 to 5 p.m. in 160 Mann Library.

The interdisciplinary effort will add new articles and improving existing ones, and includes food and door prizes. University of Arizona students and faculty will take part via webcast. To secure a place, including lunch, register by Tuesday, March 8.

Cornell also joins the third annual international Art+Feminism Wikipedia edit-a-thon, with sessions Saturday, March 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Olin Library, the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art and the Fine Arts Library in Rand Hall. Drop-in participants are welcomed.
