As a bus brings the Cornell University Wind Ensemble to Matapalo, Costa Rica, Jan. 13, music student Gimena Sirlas Contreras waits with her Lyra, a lyre-shaped, smaller version of the bells used in marching bands. The CU Winds were in town for a full day of music workshops and a concert.
