Cornell Chronicle Magazine, a periodic feature of the Cornell Chronicle, premiered Jan. 26, 2006. Each issue of the magazine focuses on one subject specific to Cornell, ranging from science, engineering and technology to the arts, the humanities or the social sciences.

A medical school blooms in the desert
On May 8, 2008, Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar will celebrate the graduation of its first 15 students. Inside the magazine you will find articles about the students and the remarkable partnership that in a very short time has made Doha "an oasis of knowledge." You will also find articles on the medical college's faculty and programs, as well as on the advanced facilities contributing to the region's huge strides in education and research.

Encompassing more than two dozen departments, programs and units, the social sciences are an exciting part of the multidisciplinary academic matrix on the Ithaca campus and abroad, and one that is growing in stature and effectiveness each year.



Cornell Chronicle Magazine June 1, 2006:
New Eyes on the Universe: Astrophysicists Explore Bethe's Legacy
This issue was produced with the Departments of Astronomy and Physics and is being published in conjunction with the Bethe Centennial Symposium on Astrophysics being held on campus June 2 and 3. The magazine provides an outline of the conference, as well as tributes to the late Hans Bethe on the centennial of his birth. It also features the work of several Cornell researchers in the field of astrophysics.

This issue of Cornell Chronicle Magazine was produced in collaboration with the Office of Humanities Communications. More than two dozen departments, institutes and centers throughout Cornell are featured in the magazine.
