Fund grants: The Student Community Fund has awarded spring 2000 grants
to student organizations to co-sponsor educational, social or entertainment events
that will enhance the ability of students to work with, live with and learn from people
from a wide range of backgrounds, beliefs and cultural perspectives. The grant recipients:
- "Lunar New Year 2000: A Celebration of Cultures," Feb. 4, Cornell

Investigation closed: Dean of the University Faculty J. Robert Cooke
has terminated an investigation into a charge of plagiarism brought by a member of
the faculty of the College of Arts and Sciences against another member of that
faculty. The members of the investigating
committee, composed of members of the college faculty, and its outside consultant were
unanimous in concluding that the evidence did not support a finding of academic
misconduct. The investigation was conducted in accordance with the Academic
Misconduct Policy, available for public access at:
