There will be a special remembrance service for Professor Emeritus Milton Konvitz Sunday, Oct. 26, at 3 p.m. in the Statler Hotel Ballroom. Konvitz, an authority on constitutional and labor law, civil and human rights as well as a scholar of Jewish studies, died Sept. 5 at the age of 95. He was a professor in Cornell's Law School and School of Industrial and Labor Relations from 1946 until his retirement in 1973. He was best known for his American Ideals course, which he taught to more than 8,000 students over the course of his career. His work was cited in many Supreme Court decisions, and Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg considered him a mentor.
