Inauguration of the Arecibo Gregorian Telescope

After two decades of planning and at least two years of construction, the National Astronomy and Ionosphere Center at Cornell University has completed an upgrade to the largest radio/radar telescope in the world at Arecibo, Puerto Rico. The upgraded telescope was formally dedicated in ceremonies at Arecibo on Saturday, June 14.
