Cornell Plantations' Cascadilla Gorge trail reopens

Critical safety repairs recently were completed on Cornell Plantations' Cascadilla Gorge trail, and the trail is now open. The section between the Treman Triangle (at Court Street and University Avenue) and the College Avenue Bridge was never opened this year to make repairs to a partially collapsed trail section.

The trail routinely contains slippery surfaces and fallen rocks, so use this trail with caution. Help protect this natural area and its fragile ecosystem by remaining on the designated trail at all times.

Cornell Plantations manages 4,300 acres of biologically diverse natural areas, including bogs, fens, gorges, glens, meadows and woodlands. These ecologically sensitive habitats, obtained by gift and purchase, are protected for research, education and the enjoyment of visitors.
