Condolences expressed on death of student on leave

Cornell Vice President Susan Murphy communicated her condolences today on the death Friday, May 3, of Zachary C. Wilson, 23, from Francestown, N.H., an undergraduate student on leave from the university who was residing in Ithaca. The death, for which no foul play is suspected, is being investigated by the Ithaca Police Department.

“I want to express my sadness on hearing of Zachary’s death and extend my heartfelt condolences, on behalf of our Cornell community, to his family and friends,” Murphy said. “Our crisis management professionals have reached out to those closest to Zachary and offered support from the university during this difficult time.”
