Slope Day 2014 moves to day after classes end

Slope Day 2014 will be held Thursday, May 8. Changes in the 2013-14 academic calendar allowed the date change, and holding the event on Thursday eliminates conflict with academic classes. Thursday may also benefit the artist selection process and will save on overtime pay costs, said Lee K. Singer ’14, executive chair of the Slope Day Programming Board.

Classes end May 7. The decision to move Slope Day to Thursday was a collaborative effort among the Dean of Students, the Office of the Registrar, the Student Assembly, Greek Tri-Council and many student groups, administration officials, faculty and staff, the Slope Day Programming Board announced.
