Proposal deadlines near for engagement, global faculty grants

Proposals for new faculty grant programs that aim to internationalize the undergraduate student experience and develop courses that directly engage communities are due soon.

Furthering Cornell’s commitment to increase students’ exposure to international subject matter and experiences, Global Cornell’s faculty-led Internationalizing the Cornell Curriculum Grants encourage innovative approaches to internationalize undergraduate teaching, learning and research. Proposals are due Feb. 6. and should be submitted electronically to Nishi Dhupa, executive director of the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies and director of operations for the Office of the Vice Provost for International Affairs. Applicants must be current Cornell faculty; non-tenure track faculty may apply with written endorsement from their chair.

Engaged Cornell invites proposals for engaged curriculum grants, which encourage community-engaged courses, research and internship opportunities, and understanding of how community engagement intersects with teaching, learning and knowledge creation. Deadline for proposals is Feb. 10. Contact Yael Levitte, associate vice provost for faculty development and diversity, for more information.
