The program is in the Alfred E. Kahn Seminar Room, located within the Sidney Cox Library of Music and Dance, 220 Lincoln Hall.

Monk time

Cornell Cinema will screen “Monk With a Camera,” a film by former Ithaca College film professor Guido Santi and Tina Mascara, March 27 just before the Spring Break hiatus.

The film depicts the life of photographer Nicholas Vreeland, who in 1972 left his life of privilege (he is the grandson of Vogue editor Diana Vreeland) to join a monastery in India. Santi and Mascara participated in a post-screening Skype discussion March 26.

Cornell Cinema reopens April 8 with the Ithaca premiere of “The Iron Ministry,” a film about China's massive train system, with filmmaker and Cornell assistant professor J.P. Sniadecki discussing the documentary.
