The Cornell community will fete Cornell's entrepreneurial spirit during a two-day event, April 19-20, featuring five symposia, a dinner honoring the Cornell Entrepreneur of the Year 2007, a resource expo and a networking event.

The Entrepreneurship@Cornell Celebration is an annual event bringing together entrepreneurs from all of Cornell's schools and colleges to highlight Cornell's numerous academic, outreach and networking opportunities related to entrepreneurship.

April 19 events include:

• A business dialogue, "The Green, the Young and the Seasoned," sponsored by the Johnson School and facilitated by John Alexander '74, MBA '76, Cornell trustee and board chairman and founder, CBORD Group Inc., 8-10 a.m., ILR Conference Center, free.
• A keynote address by Cornell Entrepreneur of the Year Kevin McGovern '70, chairman/CEO of McGovern Capital, LLC; 4:30-5:30 p.m., Statler Auditorium, free and open to the public.
• Gala dinner hosted by President David Skorton, recognizing McGovern and announcing the winners of the Johnson School's Business Idea Competition; 7:15-9:30 p.m., Statler Ballroom, reservations required.

April 20 events include:

• Five symposia on entrepreneurship in: hospitality; real estate; health; venture capital and sustainability; and life sciences and energy; 7:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., Statler, reservations required.
• Lunch featuring Nancy Schlichting, MBA/Sloan '79, president/CEO of Henry Ford Health System; 1:15-2:30 p.m., Statler Ballroom, reservations required.
• Resource Expo, featuring universitywide resources, student groups, Cornell-affiliated entrepreneurs; 2:30-4:30 p.m., Statler Foyer, free and open to the public.
• Cornell Entrepreneur Network alumni panel on venture and private equity, "Where the Smart Money is Going Now and Where it Might be Headed;" 6-9 p.m., 196 Beck Center, Statler, reservations required.
