August 2009

Freshmen and new transfer students and their families flooded campus on Move-In Day, Aug. 21. The Class of 2013 was introduced to life on the Hill during orientation week events that included community service projects, convocation and discussions of this year's New Student Reading Project selection, "The Grapes of Wrath." And after several years of construction, West Campus, home to living-learning residences for upperclassmen, is complete. Read Cornell Chronicle orientation coverage.

Cornell Alumni Magazine: http://cornellalumnimagazine.com/
A Life Locked In. Many alumni remember Brad Herzog's 1999 article about Judy Mozersky '92, who suffered a stroke at age 19 that left her mentally clear but unable to move. Ten years later, Brad visited Judy again and reports on her remarkable life. Also: a tribute to Cornell President Emeritus Dale Corson, whose life and career have been celebrated in a remarkable multimedia project. It's all in the September/October 2009 issue.
