Flu shots are available again, by appointment only
Gannett Health Services is again scheduling appointments for faculty, staff and students for flu vaccinations after temporarily halting appointments due to a shortage from vaccine suppliers. Now that the university has acquired 600 additional doses from a variety of sources, appointments can be scheduled until the supply runs out. Although the university is about 1,000 doses short of its usual 8,600 units, Health Services does not anticipate a problem on campus. "I think we'll be able to meet most people's need this year just fine," said Nianne Vanfleet, associate director of Health Services. "However, anyone who wants a flu shot should get it within the next week or two." There is no information about whether additional doses will become available. Call 255-5155 to schedule an appointment.
