The year in review: Photos from 2007

During the year, we celebrated the bicentennial of the birth of Cornell's founder, Ezra Cornell; we led new academic and research initiatives around the world; and we made our voice heard as a national advocate for sustainability. Meanwhile, work and planning continued on the Comprehensive Master Plan, the West Campus House System, the Life Sciences Technology Building, Milstein Hall and the Physical Sciences Building. And we welcomed to the campus leaders in religion, politics and literature. Little surprise, then, that Cornell was named the "Hottest Ivy" by Newsweek. Enjoy this look back at some of our favorite images from 2007.

Our gratitude at year's end

Charles Phlegar

Through your time, your support and your encouragement, you have helped Cornell stay true to its mission. Thanks to you, we are extending higher education to "any person ... any study," generating new knowledge and discoveries that positively impact the world, and providing environments for education and research that enhance creativity and collaboration. We celebrate the year's achievements and look forward to working together on the challenges ahead.

Best wishes for a happy new year,
Charles D. Phlegar, Vice President for Alumni Affairs and Development
