Cornell University Cooperative Extension

Cornell University Cooperative Extension-NYC and Central Park Conservancy have developed a 16-session certification course on urban horticulture and ecology training for park employees and volunteers. The course includes urban horticultural and ecological topics relevant to park landscapes, such as botany and plant physiology, soils, tree and shrub identification and use, herbaceous plants, turf management, plant diseases and insects, and urban ecosystems and biodiversity.
