PRESIDENTIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
David J. Skorton was named the 12th president of Cornell University on Jan. 21. A cardiologist, computer scientist, national leader in research ethics and jazz musician, the 56-year-old Skorton currently is president of the University of Iowa.

Campaigning for or on behalf of a candidate is forbidden and could result in the disqualification of the candidate. Alumni directory 2006:
More than 20,000 Cornellians have graduated and joined the ranks of our alumni since the last Cornell Alumni Directory was published in 2002. We've recently contracted with Publishing Concepts Inc. (PCI) to produce a new alumni directory later this year. Within the next two weeks, you should receive an e-mail from Mary Berens, Cornell's director of alumni affairs, asking you to call PCI or visit its secure Web site to update your information for the directory.
