Skorton cites budget cuts as protecting Cornell's 'strength and character'

President David Skorton reported in a Jan. 25 statement that Cornell will make budget cuts to alleviate a 10 percent budget shortfall resulting from the current national economic crisis. The university will take various actions, approved by the board of trustees Jan. 22-24, to deal "with financial challenges that impact all aspects of the university's balance sheet," he said.
