David Skorton arrives on campus

Skorton takes the helm; gets a warm welcome from all
Just hours into his new job as Cornell's 12th president, David Skorton talked about leadership, Cornell's role in the community, the importance of diversity and how much he still has to learn about his new home. The Cornell Chronicle followed the new president through his first week on the job, as he met the staff, the media and local leaders. He also participated in an intercampus conference for Weill Cornell neurosurgeons and biomedical engineers in Ithaca, and visited legislators in Washington.
