Thurston Avenue Bridge project
Joe Wilensky/Cornell Chronicle
A real cliffhanger

A west-facing view of the Thurston Avenue Bridge project earlier this month shows the drilling scaffolds beneath the bridge. Crews are now setting anchor bolts in the cliffs to support abutments for the erection of new steel arches. The arches are scheduled to be placed during the months of August and September. Initial construction, which began in March, is scheduled for completion in October 2007.
