Small Times again ranks Cornell among top 10 nanotechnology institutions

Small Times magazine's annual rankings of institutions for nanotechnology research and innovation have once again placed Cornell in the top 10 of each of six categories.

The trade magazine released its fourth annual survey of nanotechnology university rankings online earlier this month, based on the 2007-08 academic year. The results are based on questionnaires filled out by each university that gauge capabilities and strengths, compiled into categories of research and commercialization. Also included is a peer-review category.

This year, Cornell was ranked No. 2 for commercialization; No. 4 for research; No. 5 for peer nano research; No. 7 for peer micro research; No. 3 for peer nano commercialization; and No. 6 for peer micro commercialization.
