November 2007

About 13,000 rabid Cornell hockey fans helped to sell out New York City's most-famous indoor sports venue Nov. 24. And despite Cornell's 6-3 loss to Boston University, the fans enjoyed turning venerable Madison Square Garden into "Lynah East."
10th anniversary of the great pumpkin prank, and we still don't know whodunit
October 2007 marked the 10th anniversary of one of the grandest pranks ever perpetrated on the Cornell campus: Somehow, someway, in the dark hours of Oct. 7 or 8 of 1997, someone managed to place a hollowed-out pumpkin atop the McGraw Tower spire. The rest is history -- and still something of a mystery.
