Spotlight on Michael Dorf's blog
Law professor Michael Dorf may specialize in constitutional law. But in his blog, Dorf on Law http://michaeldorf.org, he writes what he calls "mostly law-related musings" about topics that range from same-sex marriage and Pakistan's human rights record to a critique, written during the election campaign, of the McCain campaign's efforts to blame the economic crisis on government spending. Dorf aims to fill what he sees as a void in the legal blogosphere between academic commentary and shorter, more casual postings. He characterizes his blog as falling "somewhere between an editorial and a letter to the editor." To date his posts have been cited in 24 published law journal articles. Still, he considers the biweekly posting a hobby, he said. "I don't think anyone is going to get tenure because of this blog."
