Cornell to host wilderness medicine conference

The inaugural Northeast Wilderness Medicine Conference will include hands-on training in recreational and back-country medicine in the gorges and forests around Ithaca.

Faculty and students from Weill Cornell Medical College and wilderness medicine experts from around the country will converge in Ithaca Sept. 26-28, for the inaugural Northeast Wilderness Medicine Conference, sponsored by the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Department of Emergency Medicine and Cornell Outdoor Education.

The conference will include hands-on training in recreational and back-country medicine in the gorges and forests around Ithaca. Cornell President David Skorton will deliver the opening address.
