David Z. Yang '11 of Hillsborough, N.J., a biological sciences major in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, died in a car accident near Springfield, Mo., Aug. 23.

Yang was the national chair of his fraternity, Lambda Phi Epsilon, a member of the executive board of the Chinese Students Association, and a member of the Cornell Asian Pacific Islander Students Union.

A service of memorial and thanksgiving, open to the Cornell community, will be held Saturday, Sept. 5, at 10:30 a.m. in Anabel Taylor Hall Chapel. A reception will follow in the Founders Room of Anabel Taylor Hall.
