Dancing in the tents at Reunion
Alumni travel from afar to recapture Cornell memories at Reunion

Thousands of alumni and their families returned to campus to reunite with old friends June 5-8. They listened to President David Skorton's State of the University address and Claire Shipman of ABC News on presidential politics. Reunion featured sporting events, panel discussions, tours, entertainment and, of course, dancing in the tents on the Arts Quad.

Deans named for Colleges of Human Ecology and Architecture, Art & Planning

Alan Mathios and Kent Kleinman Alan Mathios, left, has been named the Rebecca Q. and James C. Morgan Dean of the College of Human Ecology, beginning July 1. A noted economist, Mathios has been serving as interim dean since last July. Kent Kleinman, an architect and chair of the Department of Architecture, Interior Design and Lighting at Parsons The New School for Design in New York City, has been named the Gale and Ira Drukier Dean of AAP. His term begins Sept. 1.

Johnson Museum exhibit
"Something Old/Something New" highlights a wide variety of gifts to the museum's collections of contemporary art and works on paper. Pieces range from old favorites that have been part of the collection for many years to recent additions being shown for the first time. This exhibition recognizes the generosity of Cornell alumni and the difference they make in the quality of the museum's permanent holdings. Now through July 27. Johnson School Club of D.C. wine tasting
Join us Thursday, July 10, for a tasty dose of wine knowledge expertly blended with a great opportunity to meet fellow Cornellians, 6-8 p.m. at Vinoteca, Lounge #2, 1940 11th St., NW, Washington, DC 20001. Sample six different northern Italian wines with a personal instructor and enjoy a selection of cheeses to complement them. You need not be an aficionado to enjoy this event. Come one, come all! $35. Cornell Clubs of Boston and New Hampshire Isle of Shoals trip
The Cornell Club of Boston will make its annual trip to the island and laboratory (jointly operated by Cornell and the University of New Hampshire) on Saturday, July 26. Second annual Big Red summer gathering in Chatham, Mass.
Back by popular demand, the Cornell Club of Cape Cod will host a gathering Tuesday, Aug. 5, for club members, Cape Cod alumni and vacationing alumni to meet new students, scholarship recipients and their families at the home of Fred Jensen, 110 Lake Shore Dr. in Chatham from 5 to 7 p.m. All alumni, friends of Cornell and their families are welcome.
