You can subscribe to any or all of the following mailing lists. All lists except CUNEWS-DIGEST-L consist of the full texts of stories, sent as soon as they are available. Some stories that overlap categories may be sent to more than one list.

Check the list(s) to which you want to subscribe:

CUNEWS-DIGEST-L -- A single message about once a week containing short summaries of all our stories on all topics, with Web addresses where you can read the full texts. Full texts are also available by e-mail.

CUNEWS-SCIENCE-L -- ALL stories from ALL the science lists described below. READ THIS: If you subscribe to this list and one or more of those indented below, you will receive duplicate copies of many stories.
CUNEWS-PHYSICAL_SCIENCE-L -- Physical sciences, engineering and technology

CUNEWS-LIFE_SCIENCE-L -- Biology, biotechnology and other life sciences

CUNEWS-SOCIAL_SCIENCE-L -- Social and behavioral sciences, economics, education

CUNEWS-HEALTH-L -- Health and nutrition

CUNEWS-ENVIRONMENT-L -- News about the environment. (Will sometimes overlap the Ag and Life Science lists.)

CUNEWS-AG-L -- Food and agriculture

CUNEWS-BTI-L -- News about research at Boyce Thompson Institute for Plant Research (A very low-traffic list. All releases with scientific content will be duplicated to the Ag list.)

CUNEWS-VET-L -- Veterinary medicine

CUNEWS-CLIMATE-L -- A very low-traffic list with periodic climate summaries and occasional weather and climate research stories based on reports from the Northeast Regional Climate Center at Cornell

CUNEWS-BUSINESS-L -- Business and labor relations

CUNEWS-HOSPITALITY-L -- Hotel management and hospitality

CUNEWS-LAW-L -- Law, government and international relations

CUNEWS-ARTS-L -- Arts and humanities, architecture

CUNEWS-CAMPUS-L -- News about Cornell University administration and campus life and events

The New York State Agricultural Experiment Station in Geneva, N.Y., a division of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, maintains two mailing lists. Note that the second is a subset of the first; choose JUST ONE to avoid duplication:
NYSAES-ALLRELEASES-L -- All news from the Geneva Experiment Station, including new varieties, research, technology, promotions and human interest. This list includes everything in the list below.

NYSAES-WINEGRAPE-L -- Just stories relating specifically to wine and grapes. All these releases also go out to NYSAES-ALLRELEASES-L. Don't subscribe to both.

CU_NATIONAL_NEWS-L is a special list of interest to alumni and friends of the university. Subscribers receive a message every day or so listing stories about Cornell that have appeared in national media. (Please note: messages to this list are sent as styled text.)

PRESSRELEASE-L contains releases from the Cornell Press Relations Office about upcoming events, campus milestones, important initiatives and Cornell research and scholarship considered to be of special interest to members of the media.

Important note about embargoed stories:

Occasional stories are embargoed, meaning that we ask the press not to publish the information until after a certain date and time. We will not send embargoed stories to the full mailing lists until the date of the embargo. If you are an established journalist and would like to receive embargoed stories in advance of the embargo date, please include a request to that effect in the comments box above, or send a request to cunews@cornell.edu. Freelancers should explain their reasons for needing an advance on embargoes.

PLEASE NOTE: It may take several seconds for the script that processes your subscription to work. Please be patient. When the processing is complete you will see a confirmation page.

If you click the Submit button more than once, you may receive more than one e-mail confirmation message. Just reply to the first one and ignore the rest.
