Lombardi to increase staffing in advocacy and resource centers

Vice President for Student and Campus Life Ryan Lombardi announced at yesterday’s Student Assembly meeting that he is planning to increase the number of front-line staff in the university’s advocacy and resource centers.

Lombardi, who began his position Aug. 1, said the need for increased staffing at these centers has been an ongoing request from staff in his division and from students across campus.

“I have authorized the creation of up to four positions to augment the staffing in our resource and advocacy centers,” Lombardi said, “and I will work directly with students and staff in the coming weeks and months to identify the exact details for how these positions will be applied.”

He has scheduled a meeting for Dec. 2 with a coalition of minority student leaders to continue the discussion of efforts that can best address student concerns.
