Meghan French has been named director of external relations for the CornellNYC Tech campus in New York City. She comes to Cornell from Pace University, where she is assistant vice president for government and community relations.

"We are so pleased to attract Meghan to this critical role. Her demonstrated ability to build successful relationships with multiple constituencies in New York City makes her an ideal fit for the new campus," said Cathy Dove, vice president for the tech campus.

When she begins work Sept. 4, French will develop collaborations with tech companies in the city and nationwide, the broader corporate community, and government offices and community groups. French will also guide the campus's communications and marketing programs.

At Pace she directed business development for the university's business incubator and led the university's community relations function. She secured significant funding in state and federal funding for capital projects and academic initiatives.
