As part of International Education Week, four Cornellians shared time with several dozen prospective Cornell students in Kolkata, India, Nov. 20 via a videoconference in Weill Hall.

After showing a video about Cornell, members of the on-campus group -- which included Wendy Schaerer, student services associate, Undergraduate Admissions; Roy Ashok, a student at the Johnson School; J. Ellen Gainor, associate dean of the Graduate School; and Christine Sneva, assistant director of undergraduate admissions -- discussed Cornell's colleges, the university's land-grant mission, graduate and undergraduate admission requirements, various degree programs and financial aid. In addition, Ashok talked about Cornell and Ithaca, his interaction with his fellow classmates and faculty, and what he did prior to coming to Cornell to prepare for the university.
