Cornell President Skorton, alumni Milstein and Dyson tapped for Cuomo's economic transition team

Cornell President David Skorton and alumni Rob Dyson and Howard Milstein have been named by Gov.-elect Andrew Cuomo to a transition team charged with finding the best minds to lead New York's economic revitalization.

Skorton, Cornell's 12th president, was named to the 32-member Economic Development and Labor Committee on Friday. Joining him are Dyson, who earned an MBA from Cornell in 1974 and is chairman and CEO of Dyson-Kissner-Moran Corp. and president of the Dyson Foundation; and Milstein, who earned a bachelor's degree in economics in 1973 and is CEO of N.Y. Private Bank & Trust and Emigrant Bank.

Cuomo's Economic Development and Labor Committee will lead the search for new talent to staff the state agencies charged with leading job creation and growing New York's economy. The committee will recruit, review and recommend high-level leaders.

Leaders of the Cuomo-Duffy transition said the committee will begin meeting next week.
