Jason Becraft, a 32-year-old computer analyst with Cornell's Division of Risk Management and Public Safety, died Sept. 13 during the AIDS Ride for Life. Becraft was stricken 10 miles into the 100-mile bicycle ride and fundraising event. Becraft enjoyed camping and hiking. He played the guitar and other musical instruments and wrote songs. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Becraft lived in King Ferry and is survived by his widow, Jocelyn, and two children, Evan, 6 and Stella, 3.
